Internal research application

Jewelry Trend Validation Research Tool

A limited-use internal tool for comparing public Etsy listing signals with Amazon new-release product signals, helping product planning teams evaluate whether jewelry design keywords are appearing across marketplaces.

Public listings only

The tool queries publicly available active listing metadata by jewelry-related keywords.

Aggregated indicators

Outputs are limited to counts, price ranges, keyword match rates, shop diversity, and trend notes.

Internal research

The application supports product planning research and is not offered as a consumer shopping service.

Purpose

What the application does

The application is used by an internal jewelry product planning team to validate trend signals. It starts with Amazon new-release product observations, extracts jewelry design keywords, and checks whether similar public listing signals appear on Etsy.

The tool does not copy Etsy checkout functionality, manage Etsy shops, publish Etsy content to consumers, or act as a marketplace. It is used only for research summaries and aggregated trend indicators.

Data use

What Etsy data may be queried

  • Listing title
  • Listing URL
  • Price or price range
  • Shop identifier when available
  • Listing creation or update timestamp when available
  • Category or taxonomy fields when available

This metadata is used to calculate aggregated indicators such as active listing count, recent listing presence, shop diversity, median price, and title keyword match rate. These indicators help distinguish isolated Amazon product performance from broader cross-market jewelry design signals.

Privacy

No private Etsy member data

The application does not access Etsy member accounts, orders, messages, payments, private shop management data, buyer personal information, or seller private information. It does not require Etsy users to sign in.

Any stored outputs are internal research artifacts and are not sold, syndicated, or exposed as a public product database.

Limitations

How results are interpreted

Etsy listing signals are treated as one external validation source, not as final proof of demand. A jewelry direction may be marked as a cross-market signal only when Amazon evidence and Etsy listing evidence are directionally aligned.

The application does not use Etsy data for machine learning model training, automated seller actions, advertising targeting, or buyer profiling.
